The Canon EF-M 18-55mm IS is super sharp at all settings, right out to the corners wide-open. Bravo!
This Canon EF-M 18-55 IS STM is the best 18-55mm lens I've tested for Canon.
This Canon 18-55mm has the usual barrel distortion at the 18mm end and pincushion distortion at the long end as expected.
This is a swell lens: super sharp at every setting with great image stabilization but more ghosts than other lenses

Image quality is only fairly good, with sharpness decreasing as you move through the focal range. It's fine at 18mm, but by 35mm the edges are suffering, and at the maximum 55mm telelphoto setting you need to stop down to f/11 to get acceptanle results. Geometric distortion is high at the wide-angle focal length, there's obvious corner shading too, and and chromatic aberrations and flare are reradily apparent.

The Canon EF-M 18-55mm ƒ/3.5-5.6 IS STM provided surprisingly sharp results- for practical purposes, we would say it's tack-sharp from corner to corner.
Distortion is manageable, but noticeable - at the wide end, there is a full 1% of barrel distortion in the corners, and 0.5% throughout the image.
The EF-M 18–55mm ƒ/3.5–5.6 IS STM provide high resolution and high contrast for superb image quality.

캐논 EOS M 에 번들로 판매되는 표준줌렌즈입니다.
밝기는 F3.5-5.6 으로 평범하며, 손덜림 방지  IS 기능, 동영상 촬영시 소음이 없는 STM 모터를 채용하고 있습니다.  
상대적으로 무겁고 덩치가 큰 화질 중시형 렌즈입니다. 

최대개방에서도 중앙부 녹색, 주변부 노란색으로 매우 양호한 수준이며, 약간만 조이면 매우 높은 해상력을 보여줍니다.
특히 광각단에서의 성능이 매우 좋습니다. 

망원인  55mm 에서는 보통 수준의 성능을 보여줍니다.

최대 광각에서 barrel distortion 이 있으므로 보정을 해 줄 필요가 있습니다.
